And the winners are…. Who won what at Live Better With’s Spotlight Awa

The time has finally come to announce the winners of our inaugural Spotlight Awards!

We are excited to announce the winners of our first ever annual Spotlight Awards.

Receiving almost 1,000 nominations from all over the world, including Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, India and the United States, the Spotlight Awards by Live Better With are the first ever international cancer awards to shine a light on the achievements of truly remarkable people, products, and services in the cancer community.

Nominated by the public, and voted by a panel of expert judges, the winners are from all walks of life.

The judges included the inspirational speaker and author Sophie Sabbage, consultant oncoplastic breast surgeon and breast cancer survivor Dr Liz O’Riordan, director of cancer services Dr Jimmy Kwok (also known as Dr Yoga) and 2016 Masterchef winner and cancer survivor Jane Devonshire.

On judging the awards, judge Sophie Sabbage, said: “It was an honour to be a judge, and I love the fact that these people are being recognised.”

Judge Jane Devonshire added: “I found it a hard but an incredibly rewarding process and something I am genuinely very proud to be associated with. Everyone was so very inspirational and I am glad that we are able to recognise their commitment and achievements.”

Finding our winners was no small feat. We read through every single nomination submitted and then whittled them down to a shortlist for our judges to determine the final votes.

Honestly, we needed tissues reading through some of the nominations! We were so inspired, moved, and proud reading about how members of the community have dedicated their time, love and effort.
