Theradome PRO LH80 Laser Hair Regrowth System

One of the most well known and common side effects of cancer treatment is hair loss and the thinning of hair. Certain treatments such as radiotherapy may cause hair loss in concentrated areas whilst other treatments like chemotherapy can destroy hair follicles on your head, eyebrows or other areas. The Theradome Laser Hair Regrowth System helps to promote hair growth with its 80 lasers that penetrate hair follicles to increase blood flow. This in turn helps to provide the optimal nutrients needed to thicken existing hair, minimise hair loss and promote new growth.

Key Benefits

  • Slows down and minimises hair loss
  • Increases hair follicle size for existing hair
  • Promotes new hair growth

This unique ‘at home’ FDA cleared device was invented by Tamim Hamid a former NASA biomedical engineer. The lightweight helmet style device contains 80 laser diodes which produce coherent cold laser light to the scalp simultaneously, meaning that the whole region affected by the hair loss condition can be treated in one session. The Theradome merges four revolutionary scientific principles; 80 cold lasers, producing red light at 680nm, at an optimal energy dose, producing maximum therapy time. Allowing the coherent laser light to penetrate the scalp at 3-5mm in order to reach the hair follicle base, stimulating the hair cell mitochondria to produce energy in order for hair rejuvenation to occur.

How does laser hair growth therapy work?

Theradome offers an advanced laser hair growth treatment that you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home. Healthier hair can be restored thanks to a new photonic pathway that is formed when the light from the laser targets stem cells at the base of hair follicles. Engineered based on four crucial scientific criteria, Theradome's unique laser hair helmet provides a powerful hair regrowth treatment.

How does laser light affect hair follicles?

Laser light is needed to penetrate the scalp at a depth of 3-5mm to reach the base of the hair follicle - this ensures the stimulation of mitochondria in hair cells which are responsible for producing the energy that is utilised in hair follicles. Other light sources such as Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) cannot achieve this level of penetration in the follicles and only lasers produce coherent light, meaning their light waves are aligned and travel in synchroncity.

Why use red laser light?

Penetrating a hair loss treatment area at the appropriate depth with subsequent energy absorption is vital for the success of Laser Phototherapy (LPT) hair growth treatment. Hair follicles can only absorb coherent laser light at a specific wavelength (680 ± 8 nm) and the Theradome Laser Hair Regrowth Helmet utilises 80 proprietary lasers that harness the power of red light at an optimised wavelength of 680nm - ideal for clinical strength hair growth therapy.

Optimal Energy Dosage with  Maximum Therapy and Minimal Time

For optimal efficacy of hair growth treatment, Laser Phototherapy should ensure hair is treated with the right energy dosage to trigger a cellular response of hair follicles that will in turn promote hair restoration. Theradome utilises the light from 80 lasers with ideal energy density, and combined with its full-coverage scalp design, this easy to use helmet can help to rejuvunate hair and promote hair growth. With a treatment time of just 20 minutes, the lasers are able to target the base of hair follicles - anything less than this time will reduce the quality of treatment.

Step 1: When you first receive the Theradome® LH80 PRO Laser Helmet you will need to charge it. To do this you will simply need to connect the micro USB cable to your UK plug adaptor, connect the other end to the helmet, place the plug into the electrical socket and turn it on. You will need to leave the laser helmet for approximately three hours to charge fully, you will know the helmet is fully charged when the power light turns green.

Step 2: Insert the foam pads into the helmet at the side and back edges of the Theradome®. This should significantly improve comfort of the helmet. Pads can be removed or added to, to suit your needs and comfort preferences.

Step 3: Ensure your scalp and hair are clean, Theradome® can be used on dry or towel dried hair. Place the Theradome® LH80 PRO Laser Helmet onto your head with the button facing towards the back of your head. Press the button and your laser phototherapy therapy treatment will commence. The helmet even helpfully notifies you of how many treatments you have had to date, through the voice control. At this stage you can continue with your daily routine as Theradome® is completely cordless and therefore hands free.

Step 4: The helmet voice will also notify you when your twenty-minute treatment is over and at this point you can remove the helmet. If for any reason you need to cease treatment early then you can simply remove the helmet and the 80 lasers will turn off automatically. Ideally store your Theradome® in the provided carry case so that your device does not get damaged.

Will the laser hair growth helmet fit my head?

The Theradome is designed to fit 98% of the population. The other 2% are those with generally smaller heads. Along with your Theradome, we provide you with foam pads to ensure a comfortable fit during your Theradome laser hair treatments.

Can I use the Theradome® LH80 PRO Laser Helmet alongside other hair loss treatments?

Yes you can! - However the Theradome® provides such effective laser phototherapy treatment that other additional methods may not be necessary.

I am being treated for cancer, can I use the Theradome® LH80 PRO Laser Helmet?

If you are currently receiving treatment for cancer you can only use Theradome® outside of your treatment dates. It is also recommended that you talk to your GP or consultant before commencing any new treatment, including laser phototherapy.

I am pregnant can I use Theradome?

No – unfortunately you cannot use Theradome® safely whilst pregnant. However, if you are experiencing hair loss following pregnancy and completion of breast feeding, then Theradome® is a viable treatment option for you.

Will Theradome® help with dermatitis and itching?

Some Theradome® users have reported a reduction of redness and inflammation after using the device, both of which are symptoms of dermatitis and itching. However, Theradome® does not have FDA clearance for these conditions and therefore cannot officially advise on this matter.

How many times a week should I use Theradome®?

The Theradome® LH80 PRO laser phototherapy helmet should be used for twenty-minutes at a time, a minimum of twice a week. You can use Theradome® as much as you desire, however we do recommend leaving 24 hours in between each treatment session.

How long will it be until I see some results?

Through use of the Theradome® LH80 PRO helmet, hair growth occurs in three developmental stages as follows:

Step 1: Between 4 – 18 weeks hair loss can be minimised.

Step 2: Between 18 – 26 weeks reversing miniaturisation may occur.

Step 3: 26 – 52 weeks renewed hair regrowth may occur.

Please remember that each user is an individual and therefore results may vary.

How do I clean my Theradome?

For maximum laser efficacy, keep the inside of your Theradome® clean. Wipe the inside occasionally with a damp cloth (or alcohol wipe if sharing with other users). Periodically check the micro USB cable fits tightly and that the master switch does not flicker when plugged in. Keep your Theradome® in the box or case when not in use, do not charge while inside the box or case as this may case the micro USB mend of the cable to bend.

I initially reviewed the Theradome in April 2015, it was too early to comment on its effectiveness so I talked about how it felt etc. I have come back as I wanted to say that 4 months on my hair has significantly improved. It is no longer brittle, it even has shine (which I lost years ago) and it is much much thicker. I am delighted and continue to use, hubby has used it too!

There is definite hair retention and some re-growth visible - about x100 treatments done
